
Born in Abington, PA, Larry was a long time resident of Lower Bucks County and was a graduate of Neshaminy High School. At age 55, Larry retired from Penndot where he worked for many years.
Larry was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church where he served as an usher.
Larry and his wife, Marilyn, loved to eat at the Golden Dawn Restaurant and became friends with many of the employees there. They also loved to shop at the Malls.
Larry loved to attend the Annual Car show in Philadelphia and being on his iPad to keep up to date with family, friends and classmates.
Preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Edith M Westphal Wernert and Joseph F Wernert, Sr.; father, Henry Elsesser; stepbrother, Keith Elsesser; brother in law, David E Binkley; aunt, Annette Elsesser Babezki; and his beloved dog, Nina, of 18 years, Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Marilyn Wightman Elsesser.
He will also be missed by his sister, Edith Binkley (Scott) of Boalsburg, PA and their children, Tammy Wissner (Eric) of Pittsburgh PA, sons Tyler and Connor; Kelley Binkley (Mike) of Spring Mills PA; Scott Binkley (Tracy) of State College, daughters Kayla, Kendall and Taylor; Edward Wernert (Jess) of Millheim PA, son, DJ; his brother, Joseph Wernert, Jr. (Carol) of Clarence, PA and their children, Corey Wernert (Trynnea) of Clarence PA and Alisha Dann (Ross) of Clarence, daughter, Chloe; aunt, Theresa Elsesser Koren, numerous cousins and their families.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, December 30th at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem.
