Lucille M. FinerghtyLucy Finerghty passed away on October 26, 2016 after a year long battle with brain cancer. She drifted away peacefully with her children, Eric and Kerri Foxhill at her side. Along with her children, she is survived by brother Bob (Barbara) Johnson; sisters Susan (John) Milligan, Ellie (Claude) Guermont; daughter in law, Natalie Foxhill, and stepsons Thomas (Tricia); Sean (Sandee), and Brian (Erin) Finerghty. She was preceded in death by her husband John Finerghty and former husband Robert Foxhill.Lucy’s last year was spent doing the things she loved most: spending time with her family including 13 grandchildren, traveling with her sisters, and tending her flowers. Her dedication to her family, love for dancing, bright smile, and easy conversation will be remembered fondly by her family and friends as her memory lives on in the thousands of photos she diligently archived and shared over her lifetime. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, from 1:00 until 3:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Musella Foundation, 1100 Peninsula Blvd, Hewlett, NY 11557 (Musella.org) and the National Organization for Rare Diseases (NORD), 1900 Crown Colony Drive, 4th Floor NORD, Quincy, MA 02169 (rarediseases.org) both of which helped Lucy achieve the highest quality of life during her illness.
