Margaret A. Citara

Margaret Ann (Harfman) Citara of Levittown passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013. Born in Wilkes Barre, she has been a resident of Levittown for the past 52 years and was a 1962 graduate of Neshaminy High School. She was employed at Valley Day School in Morrisville as a special education para educator for many years until retiring in June of 2012. Daughter of the late Philip J. and Herta (Wanek) Harfman, she was preceded in death by her siblings Philip, Jim, John and Patty Harfman. Margaret was the loving mother of Tony Citara, Jr. (Linda) of Levittown, John Citara Sr. of Hulmeville and Michelle Thieroff (Ted) of Langhorne. She was the sister of Deborah Brown of Virginia and the sister-in-law of Ellie Harfman of North Wales. Margaret will also be sadly missed by her grandchildren Johnny Citara, Nicole Citara, Zachary Citara, Michael Thieroff, Ryan Thieroff and Shayne Citara. Family and friends are invited to call Thursday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where her memorial service will be held at 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
