
Mary Josephine Foley, of Levittown, died on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 93. Born in New York City, NY, Mrs. Foley has been a resident of Levittown since 1957. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of the Third Order of Franciscans. Mrs. Foley was also an active member of Queen of the Universe parish where she was involved with the Sodality. She was a member of the Middletown Senior Citizens and the Young at Heart Club at St. Bede parish. She was an avid bingo player. As a young woman Mrs. Foley worked in journalism in New York City until getting married and starting a family. After her family was raised, Mrs. Foley again had a career, retiring as an employee of the State of New Jersey. Mrs. Foley was the beloved wife of the late James A. Foley. She was the loving mother of Mary Louise Kugler and her husband Craig of Nevada, Anne Marie Lautenbacher and her husband Stephen of Holland and Rose Foley and her fiancee Ed Aja of Burlington, NJ. She was the devoted grandmother of Stephanie Anne Pyle and her husband Mark, Laura Anne Lautenbacher, Craig Louis Kugler and his wife Joy, Paul James Kugler, and Anne Rogers and her husband Eric. She was the proud great grandmother of Jonathan, Rachel, David, Benjamin and Katherine Kugler. She will also be sadly missed by her sister Bunny Wallner and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 noon at Queen of the Universe Church followed by Rite of Committal in St. Dominic Cemetery.
