I work at Prevention Point & had the pleasure of knowing  Mike for several years. He was such a joy to be around - always had a ready smile, some hilarious sarcasm, a word of gratitude, & often a piece of candy to share. His deep creativity was so evident in both his thinking & art work. Mike was also such a positive and protective force to so many around him, & thoughtful of others even when struggling himself. I know he loved his family very much, & I’m deeply grateful to see these beautiful photos of him & his loved ones. There just aren’t words for this loss. I will always remember Mike with much fondness & sending my love and support to his family.

Hi, my name is Kaelee and I worked with Mike for a few years as his case manager. My heart is really heavy just finding out that he passed. I’m so very sorry. I’d like to send all of my condolences to his family and loved ones. It was truly an honor to know and work with Mike. He was always kind, respectful, and caring. He always showed up to appointments and was always willing to put it the work, even when it was really difficult. He was so resourceful and a huge advocate for himself.  He always spoke so highly of his family and how much he cared for and loved them- they were his everything. I have so many great memories with him and I’m really sad there won’t be a chance to make more. One of the many things he taught me was the best store to find birthday cake ice cream. It was truly the best ice cream I’d ever had! I’ll be going back to have one in his honor. He was a great person and a very talented artist. I wanted to share one of the pieces he shared with me during our time working together, so I’ve attached a picture of it here.  I may have more, which I can share when I locate them. 

Mike, what a gift to have known you. Thanks for your presence, kindness, and friendship. Rest in peace, friend. You will be missed.

I knew Mike from Prevention Point and just learned about his passing. He was always energetic and trying to take the best care of himself that he could. Sometimes he would come by just to talk. I’m very saddened by this loss and am sending his family my best
