I met Michele in July 2015 through a mutual friend and a bunch of us "girls" spent a magical weekend away in the mountains shortly after Michele's port was placed and she was still recuperating from her surgery. In those three days, she helped me see what bravery really is, what taking one day at a time means and how to treasure the smallest moments. Her photography captured me and my kids and I followed her travels around the world, which is something I cannot afford to do. But her authentic manner, showing us her beautiful meals, amazing experiences and providing tips she learned along the way were just a few of the reasons I called Michele a friend. Her last week, reporting daily from her hospital bed, being grateful to open her eyes each day, were so inspiring to us! I will miss her travel reports and online dating advice/experiences, but will always treasure the time we spent together and the opportunity Michele gave me to have a glimpse into her world. Rest in Peace, Michele, you have inspired so many!

I started following Michele on Instagram just over a year ago.   As a late stage ovarian cancer survivor I followed her journey and we messaged a few times about certain procedures.   I live a very positive life and did so through my treatment, but Michele took that to the next level.   She made people laugh, she told great stories that were real and wonderful and a mix of the brutal reality of her life and the joy of travel and the world and seeing and feeling everything that existed.   She was truly beautiful inside and out and taught me so very much about this life that I felt I already knew so well.   I knew she was quite ill in the end and kept looking for her posts until I finally googled her and found out she has reached the end of this part of her journey.   I'm quite sure she has everyone captivated on her next leg and I, along with many, will carry her with me at all times.   Much love to her family and friends left behind, she has surely left a void.  What a beautiful soul, may you Rest In Peace Michele -xx-

Michele and I were friends on Instagram and shared travel photos and stories. I was concerned and disappointed that she was feeling sick and had to cancel her last trip because of the hospital stay .  The fact that I and many others had no idea how serious this particular hospital stay was shows just how positive and strong and brave she was.  I have met a lot of brave people in my life but honestly she may be the bravest.  She stared this in the face as if it was nothing but a small challenge to overcome.  She was sweet and smart and made the world a better place and I'm so sorry to not have her here anymore.  To all those who knew her better then I did, you were lucky! She will be missed by so many .  Rest in peace my friend. ❤

Ah Michele. What can I say? We never met in person but I feel like I know you and traveled with you through your journeys. Your photography and descriptions of your adventures were a true blessing. A Philly girl who documented her travels of the world so beautifully that heaven called early to hire her to do the same. 

Michele and I attended part of elementary and our middle school years at Gateway Christian School.  All these years later I can still remember her smile and her laugh.  She was always so incredibly beautiful.   Thinking of and praying for her family and friends who loved her.  

Your laughs will be contagious in heaven..I'm going to miss you and especially miss all the pics from all your vacations..I wish I could have gone on some to make memories with you..now it's time to rest...your memories will carry on forever

Sorry for your loss.  I never meet Michele but followed her on fb.  I always enjoyed traveling with her vicourously thru her travels and even her day to day situations.  She was very entertaining and she will be missed
