Mildred V. (Davis) Monte

Mildred V. (Davis) Monte died on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Chandler Hall. She was 73. Born and raised in Ewing, NJ, the daughter of the late Marie Therese (Tabler) and Franklin Otto Davis, Mildred has been a long time resident of Morrisville and Levittown. She was employed with ETS in Princeton for over 30 years before retiring in 2005. Mildred also worked in the Delivery Room at Mercer Hospital for a time. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Trenton, NJ. She was a cat breeder and also enjoyed gardening and sewing. Mildred will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her ex-husband, Philip Edward Monte, Sr. and her son, Philip Edward Jr. She is survived by her children, Virginia Gabrielle "Ginger",Lawrence Davis "Larry", Anthony Michael "Tony", David Matthew, Lisa Marie Monte and Amy Elizabeth Monte Wilson. Mildred was the devoted grandmother of Christopher Monte, Allison Brooks, Joshua Widmann, Timothy, Tony, Samantha, Amanda and Meghan Monte, Timothy P. Wilson III, Leilani Bennett-Wilson and D.J. Steele. She was the proud great grandmother of Tori, Jacob, Jailynn, Liam, Tyler, Lily, Leah and Josh. She will be greatly missed by her loyal friends Roberta, Gay and Gail, her aunt Jeanette Tabler and niece and nephew Jim and Julie Tantum. She was preceded in death by her sisters Adrienne Randolph Davis, Jeanne Marie Davis and Penny Elaine Davis. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 9:15 until 10:15 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pa. Her funeral Liturgy will be held on Friday, 11 a.m. at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, 801 West State St., Trenton, NJ. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park.
