Nancy worked as both a cosmetologist and a nurse, professions that reflected her warmth and love of connecting with people. Driven by a deep interest in the medical field and a genuine desire to care for others, she was known throughout her career for her compassion, dedication, and the pride she took in helping those in need. She later worked for the State of New Jersey, from which she retired in 2005.
Nancy was born in Wilkes Barre, PA in February 1942 to James and Mary Casey Foy. She was predeceased in death by her brothers, Robert Foy, Edward Foy, and James Foy; her sisters, Donna Lindsey, Mary Grace Foy, Marlene Rossi, Joan Foy, Shirley Cavanaugh, and Carol Becker.
Nancy leaves behind her best friend and twin sister, Nadine Foy, who lovingly cared for her until her death, as well as her siblings, Judy Mroczka, John, Gerald, William, and Leo Foy.
She is survived by her devoted husband of almost 60 years, Robert; her son, Christopher, and his wife, Heidi, and their children, Alex and Christian; and her daughter, Nadine Christ, and her husband, Tim, and their children, Conrad, Brooke, Kevin, and Tim, Jr.
Nancy’s greatest joy was her six grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as “Nina”. She enjoyed reading to them, playing with them, teaching them, and telling them stories about her childhood, but most of all, she loved them fiercely and filled their lives with kindness and lasting memories.
Nancy is remembered by many nieces, nephews, lifelong friends, and family members whom she loved with all her heart.
Nancy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was truly one in a million, and while the world has lost an angel, we take comfort in knowing she will continue to watch over us and guide us from above.
