She lived a rich and full life, celebrating her 96th birthday in February.
Nora was born and raised in Liverpool, England. She shared wonderful stories of her family in England, adventures with friends, and her love of the dance halls where she met her husband, Norman. They emigrated to the United States in 1971, building a beautiful life together and filling their home with love and laughter.
Nora built her new life around the kitchen table. She would welcome family and friends with a cup of tea, a bite to eat, and her famous shortbread cookies. She showered her family with love and made each one of us feel special. Gram was on the sidelines of games, attended every school event, recital, and milestone. She was so warm and charismatic that she became everyone’s “Gram”. She was quick with a joke and fun to be around. She was the center of our family and left an indelible mark on our hearts.
She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Norman. She will be sadly missed by her children Patricia Dykes, Donna & Mark Harder, Karen & Wayne Murphy, and Philip & Jackie Dykes.
She is the devoted grandmother (Gram) of Shane (Duyen), Brett, Mark and Gabrielle Harder; Erin, Serena, and Brianna Murphy; Brittany (AJ) Slezosky, Nick, Trevor and Melanie Dykes; and proud great grandmother of Trace, Nora, and Parker Slezosky
