Patricia Ann Techtmann (née Carberry), lovingly known as Pat, Nana, and GG, passed away peacefully on Sunday May 4, 2025 at age 94 leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and faith. Born on April 8, 1931 to Paul and Margaret Carberry, Pat was one of seven siblings in a close-knit family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Walt, her parents, brothers Paul and Tom, sisters Peggy and Nancy, her son Richard, grandson Christopher, and great-grandson Cole. She is survived by her sisters, Joan (Jack Huerter) and Mary Kline, brother-in law John Elder and sister-in-law Mary Lou Carberry, and numerous nieces and nephews.
On April 19, 1952, Pat married Walt Techtmann. Together, they moved from the Mayfair section of Philadelphia to Levittown, where they built a warm and loving home for their six children: Jim (Shelly), Jack (Denise), Bob (Norma), Joanne (Anthony), and Bill (Sue). Pat’s love extended across generations as she became “Nana” to 19 grandchildren and cherished “GG” to 21 great-grandchildren.
A devoted parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel Church for over 45 years, Pat’s faith was a guiding force in her life. She was an accomplished baker, known for her homemade treats and treasured Carberry family recipes, which she joyfully passed down to her grandchildren. After her retirement, Nana spent many happy years babysitting and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the center of her world.
Pat’s warmth, strength, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of family, tradition, and unwavering love.
A funeral Mass will be held at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown on Tuesday, May 13 at 11:00 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM.
