

Richard "Dick" Daly Levittown Resident Richard "Dick" Daly, age 88, of Bristol Township, PA, died on Monday, September 13, 2010, at Sunrise of Lower Makefield in Yardley. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Mr. Daly was a resident of Levittown since 1954. He retired in 1963 from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer/ Chief Yeoman having seen duty on the aircraft carrier, USS Bataan, in the Pacific during World War II and during the Korean War. For the next 20 years he worked as a Tax Examiner for the IRS, retiring in 1984. Dick was a member of the Fleet Reserve Assn, Retired Enlisted Assn., and AARP. He and his late wife were former officers and coaches for the Bristol Twp. Girls Softball League 1960-70; and he was a longtime member of various bowling leagues. Beloved husband of the late Marjorie Mae McGraw Daly. Loving father of Sharon L. Grodzielanek (wife of the late Richard) of Fairless Hills, and June L. Conklin and her husband Russell of Fallsington . He will be sadly missed by his 4 grandchildren: Richard, Jr. and James Grodzielanek, Denise (Glen, II) Finfrock and Russell Conklin; and 3 great grandchildren: Evan Richard Grodzielanek, April Mae and Glen Finfrock, IV. Family and friends may call on Wednesday, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown, where his Funeral Service be held on Thursday at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Rosedale Memorial Park.
