Richard F. Heltzel

Born in Kingston, PA, Mr. Heltzel has been a long time resident of Lower Bucks County. He was a member of Queen of the Universe parish and the Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph the Worker Council #4215, 4th Degree.

Mr. Heltzel was an elementary school teacher in the Pennsbury School District for 36 years until retiring in 1991.

He loved to garden and spend time with his family.

Beloved husband of Sue Ann, with whom he would be celebrating 65 years of marriage in June, Mr. Heltzel was the loving father of Maureen Harbison (Richard), Richard F. Heltzel Jr. (Marketa), Mark J. Heltzel (Karen) and Kevin E. Heltzel (Amy).

He was the devoted grandfather of Meagan, Richard III, Ryan, Nicholas, Alexandra, Danielle, Emily, Jenna, Colin, Robert and Anna and great grandfather of 7.

Richard will also be missed by his brothers, Robert E. and Edward J. "Jack" Heltzel; his best friend, Ed Novak, and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to call from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 18th at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Rd., Levittown where his funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Rite of Committal will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Queen of the Universe Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
