For the past 31 years, Rick shared his life with his devoted partner, Kathy Wehr. Their relationship was a testament to love and companionship. He was also a proud and loving father to his daughters Kara (Jamie) LaRose and Ali (Dave) Delory, and to his son D. Richard Peake. As “Grandpop,” he cherished every moment he spent with his grandchildren: Macy, Greyson, Dylan, and Ryan. Near or far he was always staying involved in their lives with heartfelt calls and unwavering support. He is also remembered by his brother John “Jay” Peake, his partner, Pat, and nieces Alexa and Sami.
Rick’s commitment to family knew no bounds. He would drive hours just to catch one of his daughters’ lacrosse or soccer games, attend a major life event, or take them out to dinner. He never missed an opportunity to show up for those he loved. His selflessness extended beyond family; he was known for offering help and support wherever it was needed.
Rick dedicated his professional life to the field of communications as a Systems Engineer. He made many friends throughout his career and enjoyed sharing stories about his work experiences, even well into his retirement. He had an amazing ability to engage in conversations and had a special way of telling stories. Whether through work or conversation, Rick had a way of connecting with people that left lasting impressions.
A proud member of the Bristol Masonic Lodge #25, Rick found community among fellow Masons and took pride in being part of an organization rooted in service and fellowship. He also had a deep affection for dogs and found immense joy in their loyal companionship.
Rick’s legacy is that of love expressed genuinely and often, time generously shared, and conversations that uplifted those around him. May his memory inspire acts of kindness in his honor.
