Robert F. McCormick Sr.Robert F. McCormick Sr. passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne at the age of 81.Born in Johnstown, PA and raised in Baltimore, MD, he was a 1954 graduate of Southern High School. Robert has been a resident of Levittown since 1970.He proudly spent 8 years as a Navy reservist.Robert was employed for 45 years as a salesman with BOC Gases before his retirement in 2002. He was a former chairman of A.W.S. Philadelphia Regional Chapter.Mr. McCormick was a very active and devoted member of Peace Lutheran Church in Bensalem for many years.An avid bowler, Robert was a founding member of Lower Bucks Church League and also enjoyed playing softball in his younger years.Robert was a loving husband to Jean (Tishue) of nearly 61 years and proud of his children, Robert F. Jr. (Renee), Mark S. (Deena), Sharon L. Heying, Matthew J. McCormick and father-in-law to Mindy.He is survived by his grandchildren, Anthony, Kyle, Chandler, Samantha, Connor and Cullen, and his nephews, Wayne, John and Michael McCormick.Robert will also be sadly missed by many extended family members.He was predeceased by his parents, John & Kathryn; brother, Homer J. McCormick (Ida); and sister, Roberta Young (Lou).Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm and 7:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown. Friends may also call again on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Peace Lutheran Church, 3900 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. McCormick's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 JFK Blvd., Suite 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
