Robert W. Porter

Robert W. Porter Robert W. Porter died suddenly at his home in Yardley, on Saturday, May 14, 2011. He was 30. Born in Trenton, NJ, the son of Susan (Wojcik) Porter and the late Robert P. Porter, he was a life time resident of Lower Bucks County and a 1999 graduate of Pennsbury High School. A devoted father, he enjoyed playing ball and fishing with his son, spending time at the shore and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Robert was loved by all who knew him. He was a gentle giant, easy going and eager to do all he could for all he came in contact with. Loving and devoted father of Robert Michael Porter, he is the son of Susan Porter and her fianc, Daniel Kaplan, Sr. and the brother of Sean and Kyle Porter all of Yardley. He will also be sadly missed by his paternal grandfather, Robert S. Porter of Browns Mills, NJ, his aunt, Kathy Giambelluca (Tom) of Levittown, his uncle, Peter Wojcik (Marie) of Fairless Hills and their families; his nephew Joey and his step siblings, Daniel Kaplan, Jr. of Bensalem and Darlene Kaplan of Phoenix, AZ. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, 8:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, PA where family and friends are invited to call from 6:00 pm until service time. Interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions in his name may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
