Robert John Thompson Sr.

Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Thompson was a long time resident of both Philadelphia and North Wildwood, NJ.

He was a very proud US Navy World War II veteran.

For 35 years he was employed with Bell Telephone.

Beloved husband of the late Gladys Mae (Hoser), Mr. Thompson is the loving father of Barbara Dito (George), Robert J. Thompson Jr. (Patricia), David William Thompson (Mary Beth) and the late Gail Patricia Griffith.

He is the devoted grandfather of Robert Dito, Kimberly Bathe (Andrew), Steve Dito, Robert J. Thompson III (Corrina), Gillian Thompson, Jocelyn Thompson, Christina Beth Derr (Eric) and William Thompson (Julie); proud great grandfather of Aaron Walto, Anton, Lukas, Valerie and Marcel Thompson, Wyatt and Bryce Derr, and Hudson and Baylen Thompson.

Mr. Thompson was predeceased by his siblings, David Thompson and Naomi Aschmann.

Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, from 9:00 until 10:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Forest Hills Cemetery, Philadelphia.

All COVID-19 regulations will be followed, i.e masks, social distancing, etc.
