

Robert E. Zimnoch Robert E. Zimnoch of Langhorne, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013 after battling Progressive Aphasia more than 17 years. He was 83. Born in Flushing, NY, Bob had moved to Levittown in 1968 and resided there until 2006. Bob was a retired NYC firefighter and had also worked for the railroad for 41 years. He was a proud veteran of the US Navy and was a member of the John Billington VFW Post 6495, Levittown. Bob loved to travel after he retired. He will be missed by his family, and many friends he made over the years. Beloved husband of 53 years to Jean (Prestin), In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children, Michael R. Zimnoch, Linda J. Martine, his step-son, Richard M. Bennett, and his two daughters, Barbara Phillips and Vivian Hamilton of Nevada. He leaves 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 11:30 am until 12:30 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm. Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Fronto Temporal Degeneration Association, PO Box 1111, Philadelphia, PA, to help find a cure.
