Born in Chicago, IL, Bobbie lived most of her life in Levittown, PA where she was a loving, caring Mother and servant of God. Bobbie was an active member and served as a Christ Servant Minister at Fallsington Methodist Church and Grace United Methodist Church in Telford. She received the Legion of Honor award from the Chapel of the Four Chaplains for her work in the Church and community. Roberta was a Past Matron of Neshaminy Chapter #374 of the Order of Eastern Star.
Bobbie will always be remembered for her unmitigated joy in life and her devotion to God and her family. She could always be found praising God through her caring and giving actions and through her love of singing. No one can escape without a piece of candy, especially her special homemade carmels, or a piece of her famous Texas Sheet Cake. She enjoyed cooking for an army, and for her gift of “being able to feed the 5,000” from one little cake.
Beloved wife of the late Donald L. Johnson, she is survived by her daughter Deborah A. Reddy (Scott) and their children Holly, Scott Jr, Christine Thiemsen (Matthew), and April; her sons David L Johnson and his children Aileen, Matthew, David Jr, and Antonia; and Edward L. Johnson (Aileen) and their daughters Megan and Karen. She will also be missed by her brothers Larry and Kenneth and her sister Judith and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10am to 12pm on Saturday, March 20th at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown. Due to COVID, services will be limited to family and invited close friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Fallsington United Methodist Church, 50 LaCross St., Fallsington PA 19054.
