

Born in Linn, Missouri, on February 19, 1930, he was the son of the late Leo and Ada White.
In 1951, Roscoe married Dolores, the love of his life. They enjoyed 60 ½ years of marriage before Dolores’ passing in 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Bernice, Venona, Nelson, and Virginia.
Ross was a devoted man of faith and a very active member of Calvary Full Gospel Church, where he served faithfully as a Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, prayer partner, and more. Known affectionately as “Ross” by his friends, he will be remembered for his strong faith, tireless work ethic, and love for his family including the many (50) foster children over the years.
He served as a Marine during the Korean War. He dedicated 28 years to U.S. Steel, 48 years to Penn Warner Park, 40 years with the Game Commission (often making the news), and 22 years as a guard with Waste Management. Beyond his work, Ross loved reading God’s Word, fishing, hunting, cheering for Philadelphia sports teams, playing on the U.S. Steel softball team (even making the Courier times newspaper) and traveling.
He is survived by his children: Roscoe Lee Jr. and Sharon White, Vickie and Lester Hoffman, Mary and Mark Tretina, and Martin Lee White and Billy Bergman. He was the proud grandfather of seven: Evan White and Alyssa Brochu, Jeffrey and Casey White, Maggie White and Joshua Barron , Kyle and Elise Tretina, Jake and Olivia Tretina, Katerin Tretina, and Allison Tretina. He was also blessed with one great-grandchild, Conor Lee White.
Family and friends are invited to visit and attend services on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 9:00 am until 12 noon, with a funeral service at 12 noon, at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, 2200 Trenton Rd. Levittown PA. Interment will follow at Rosedale Memorial Park, 3850 Richlieu Rd, Bensalem PA 19020.
