

Rose Lazeration , age 93, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2013 at the home of her son in Newtown. Born in Canoe Township, PA, Rose was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Kapiluler) Zagronitchek. After moving from Dixonville, PA in 1953, Rose and her family resided in Bristol Township for 55 years. She was a homemaker until her children where grown. After that time, she worked in the meat department for Acme Markets and A & P. Rose was a very active person who enjoyed gardening, crocheting, knitting, quilting, cooking, baking and various crafts. In her later years she belonged to senior citizens groups and always baked delicious cakes that were enjoyed by everyone. She was also one of the founding members of her church, Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church in Levittown. She could always be counted on to help the Ladies Altar Society make pierogies and baked goods to be sold at their fund raisers. Holidays were always special at the Lazeration household. Rose would spend endless hours preparing the ethnic dishes and the best homemade bread. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; son, Alex; sisters Mary, Katherine, Nancy, Eva and Ann; brothers William, Peter and Michael; and son-in-law Ronald Martin. Rose is survived by her three daughters; Ann Quarry (Tom), Helen Harkins (Tom) and Irene Martin; two sons; Nick (Linda) and Ronald (Sharon); 15 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, November 5th, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, 1314 Randall Avenue, Levittown, PA 19057 where her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Saints Peter and Paul Orthodox Church.
