

Rudolph J. Bulla Rudolph J. Bulla died, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Saint Mary Manor in Lansdale. He was 94. Born in New York, NY, Mr. Bulla was formerly of Mayfair for 50 years, Levittown for 10 years, and he most recently resided in West Rockhill Twp. Mr. Bulla was a member of the Holmesburg Fish and Game Club where he enjoyed target practice. He was an avid fresh and saltwater fisherman. A Black Belt in Karate, Mr. Bulla was a boxer while serving in the Army. Mr. Bulla was a US Army Tech Sergeant and served as secretary for General George Patton in North Africa. At his retirement party, Mr. Bulla received a jovial note from his colleagues, stating that General Patton said, "Tanks for your service." He also served under General Fisher who was the Chief of Staff for General Mark Clark of the Fifth Army. Beloved husband of 64 years to Anne T. (Killian), Mr. Bulla was the loving father of Robert (Linda), Ronald (Annie), Diane Fehr (Jeffery) and Paul. He was the devoted grandfather of Robert Jr., Christina, Melissa, Deira, Michelle, Ronald G., Andrew, Anna and Sarah and the proud great grandfather of Ash, Gage, Shaylyn, Madison, Rielly and Ayden. He will also be sadly missed by his sister, Alice Eshmont and many nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, from 10:00 until 11:00 am at the James J. Dougherty Fuenral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, where his funeral service will be held at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Bulla's name may be made to Saint Mary Manor, 701 Lansdale Avenue, Lansdale, PA 19446.
