

Stanley W. “Stan” Packer, age 83, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2026, in Langhorne, Pennsylvania. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and proud veteran, Stan lived a life defined by strength, loyalty, and love for his family.
Born and raised in Camden, New Jersey, Stan later made Levittown, Pennsylvania his home for 54 years. He earned his G.E.D. through the U.S. Army and built a life grounded in service, integrity, and dedication.
Stan proudly served in the United States Army for nine years, including service in Vietnam in 1968. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in a Scout Dog Platoon, demonstrating courage, discipline, and devotion to his fellow soldiers.
Following his military service, Stan worked for 35 years as a foreman and machine operator at Graham Packaging in Bristol, Pennsylvania, where he was known for his strong work ethic and reliability.
Stan enjoyed camping and fishing, and he was a self-taught technology enthusiast and early adopter of personal computing. He also volunteered with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, where he taught boat safety and navigation.
Stan was married to his beloved wife, Carol Packer, for 58 years. He is survived by his children: Lori Packer (Douglas Bicket), Christine Packer, Scott Packer, and Amy Packer (Philip Suriani); his grandchildren Brandy (Josh), Cheyenne, and Jacob; his great-grandchildren Logan, Ember, Estella, Levi, and Novalee; his sister, Linda Packer-Timick; and his three nieces, Stephanie, Lynda, and Heather.
He is now reunited with his parents, Joseph E. Packer Sr. and Clair Packer, and his siblings Carl Packer, Joseph Packer Jr., and Edith Packer.
Strong, loyal, and loving, Stan was known for his calm and steady presence. He often joked that people called him “Alfred E. Newman” because he always said, “What, me worry?”
A viewing will be held on January 14, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19056. A funeral service will follow at the same location at 12:30 p.m. The burial, including full military honors, will take place following the service at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020.
Memorial contributions may be made in Stan’s memory to Wounded Warriors, honoring his lifelong service to his country and fellow veterans.
