A former resident of Toms River, NJ, he spent his retired years living in Levittown, PA, with his wife Loretta A. Toth.
Born and raised in Trenton, NJ, he is predeceased by his parents, Stephen Toth and Yolanda (Fedor) Toth, and his loving sisters Claire Toth and Yolanda Toth.
Steve was a graduate of St. Joseph's University. His first job as a Cost Analyst at RCA in Hightstown, NJ became a lifelong job of 36 years; he retired from Lockheed Martin in 1999. A loyal employee, his former coworkers knew him as professional, fair and 'one of the best bosses ever had'. His three daughters mirror those values in their professional lives to this day.
Steve was a self-taught sailor, the family spent many joyful years sailing the Toms River. In later years, with a larger boat, he and his wife sailed their Cape Dory from a peaceful marina in Rock Hall, MD. Their many boat friends miss those days of adventure.
Steve's favorite vacation spot was in Nags Head, NC; a happy-accidental discovery back in the '80's when he pressed the family into his 'best deal' powder blue, all manual Aries K car and headed south. Though Steve seldom told a joke, his wife Loretta had a sense of humor that balanced his quiet demeanor. Together, they made many family-friends through their close-knit church community in Marriage Encounter. He was very dedicated to family and especially the care of his wife of sixty years.
He is survived by his wife Loretta A. (Eastburn) Toth; and his daughters and sons-in-law Loretta and Erik Werfel, Marian and Mark Lukens, Evelynne Toth and companion Margaret Gallagher; and his grandchildren, Sera and Daniel.
He will be remembered as a caring husband, strong father, generous grandfather and kind neighbor.
A visitation for Stephen will be held Monday, May 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, Pennsylvania 19054. A mass of christian burial will be at 10:00 AM.
His burial will follow at 1:15 PM at St Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
