Tara Lee Ann Eriksen

Tara Lee Ann (Zawatsky) Eriksen, of Yardley, died unexpectedly in a car accident on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the age of 31. Born in Lower Bucks Hospital, Tara was raised in Falls Township and Langhorne and was a 1997 graduate of Neshaminy High School. She received her Bachelor's degree from Albright College where she was a member of Phi Mu Sorority and received her Masters degree in Education from Temple University. Tara was employed as a teacher for the developmentally disabled She loved cooking, shopping, arts and crafts and interior design. Tara was the beloved wife of Niels C. Eriksen, Jr. and was the loving mother of Brittani Eriksen-Dietel. She was the loving daughter of Karen A. (Philip) and Thaddeus M. Zawatsky and the sister of Dana (Zawatsky) Rossell (husband Jim). She will also be sadly missed by her maternal grandmother Anna Philip; aunts, uncles, cousins, niece, many friends and her beloved bichon frise, Cooper. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Rd., Levittown where a Panachida service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Friends may also call on Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home where a Parastas service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday. 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church followed by Rite of Committal in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery. Mass cards are preferred, or memorial contributions to the S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 277, Lahaska, PA 18931 would be appreciated.
