

Virginia M. Schafer Virginia M. (Miller) Schafer passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2010 surrounded by her loving family, at Saint Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 84. She moved to Levittown in 1952 and was a member of Saint Michael the Archangel Parish, where she was a Prefect and founding member of Saint Michael the Archangel Sodality. Ginny was a president of the Ladies Guild of Bishop Egan and was an avid bowler, physical fitness enthusiast and an avid Philadelphia sports fan. She attended all of her children's and grandchildren's sports events. Ginny is the beloved wife of sixty-one years to David W. and the loving mother of seven sons; David (Jodi) of Langhorne, Donald (Patricia) of Yardley, Dennis (Kathleen) of Croydon, Greg (Donna) of Fairless Hills, Gerry (Kathy) of Fairless Hills, Richard (Marianne) of Langhorne and Marty (Linda) of Levittown. She was the devoted grandmother of Natalie, Dana, Sean, Lindsay, Jason, Laura, Gregory, Eric, Ryan, Kevin, Kristen, Richard, Megan and Madison, the great grandmother of Andrew and Josie and the sister of Martha (and the late Leo) Gannon of Levittown and the late Harry J. Miller. Ginny will also be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her niece, Virginia Gannon Bobroski. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, 6:00 until 9:00 pm at the James J. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 2200 Trenton Road, Levittown and on Thursday, from 9:00 until 10:00 at Saint Michael the Archangel Church, 66 Levittown Parkway, Levittown, where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Rite of Committal will follow in Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Mass cards would be appreciated.
