

LEWISTON- Albert J. Boisvert, 81, of 157 Grove St., Lewiston died Thursday January 7, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on October 30, 1928 the son of Alcide and Maria (Baillargeon) Boisvert. He was educated in the Holy Family School, attended Holy Family Church in Lewiston where he served as a Eucharistic Minister for several years. He served four years in the Air Force, worked 20 years as a shoe cutter at Knapp Shoe and three years at Bath Iron Works. Albert enjoyed fishing, traveling, country music and football. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, the former Jeannine V. (Fournier) Boisvert whom he married on September 25, 1954; five children Doris Masse, Suzanne Sirois and her husband Albert, Roland Boisvert and his wife Micheline "Mimi", daughter-in-law Dawn Boisvert, David Boisvert who is serving in the Air Force in Missouri and his fiancée Amy Hamp; nine grandchildren Lenny Masse Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Maria Masse, Larry Masse and his girlfriend Nicole, Renata, Andrew, Stephen Boisvert, Heather Boisvert, Justin and Morgan Boisvert; two great grandchildren Ashalen and Desiree; two sisters Gilbertte Bechard, Aline Boisvert and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Ronald in 2006; four brothers Fernand, Reginald, Arthur and Normand; and two sisters Madeline Michaud and Joanne Burgess. A Funeral Mass honoring Albert's life will be celebrated on Tuesday at 11AM at Holy Family Church.
