

Auburn - Alfred J. Parise, 85, of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday September 24, 2014 at Clover Health Care in Auburn, following a long battle with Alzheimer's. Alfred and his twin brother Albert were born on April 3, 1929 in Lewiston, the sons of the late Frank and Louise (Baril) Parise. He attended local schools before going to work in the area's shoe industry for many years. He then went to work for Auburn Housing, a job he truly loved, before retiring. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church of Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish. Al is survived by his daughter Debbie Parise of Lewiston, a son Steven Parise of Florida, a granddaughter Debbie St. Onge of Auburn, 2 sisters: Jeannette Poussard of Auburn and Rita Brousseau of Lewiston, 2 brothers: Martin Parise of Florida and Jerry Howard of Westbrook and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Florence, his brothers: Francis, Joseph and Albert. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 Am to 11:00 Am at The Fortin Funeral Home in Lewiston. Funeral Services will be held at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 11:00 Am with a luncheon to be served after the service. Committal Services will follow at 2:00 Pm at St. Peter's Cemetery in Lewiston.
