Allen R. Stasulis, 74, of Greene, passed away on July 6, 2021 from a sudden illness. He was born July 19, 1946 in Lewiston, Maine to Alexander and Yvette Stasulis. A life-time scholar, Al began his education at Lewiston High School, followed by an undergraduate at Bentley College, a master’s from Brown University and concluded his education at the Executive Development School at UMass Amherst. Al was a proud Vietnam veteran, a Sergeant in the US Army’s 101 Airborne, and was awarded a Bronze Star and two Purple Hearts as recognition of his service. Al met the love of his life, Maureen, in Auburn, June 1971. They married on April 21, 1972, celebrating 49 years together this year. After briefly living in Lewiston, Al and Maureen set down roots in Greene. Al was Vice-President of Mid-Maine Savings Bank for 24 years, followed by employment at Pamco Shoe Machinery, Champoux Insurance and the State of Maine. He as was the President of the Bentley Alumni Association, and served on the board with the United Way, Martindale Country Club, St Francis Mission and St. Mary’s Hospital. Al had many passions in life. In the winter, ice fishing was squeezed in between his son’s hockey games. Al was a passionate hockey Dad, and got as much joy watching his daughter Ashley participate in the Special Olympics. He was a true New England sports fan, tuning into the Bruins, Patriots and Red Sox time allowed. Always a thoughtful and generous person, Al helped others in any way that he could, and looked for the best in people. He was a devoted husband, loving father, caring friend and taught his children that hard work always paid off. Maureen and family,
Played many a round of golf with Al at the beautiful Martindale Country Club. He was a true competitor and a true gentleman of the game of golf. That also showed up in life as he had many friends who loved him in life.
God bless you all.

Also played golf with Ashley......always a joy to play golf with her......

Dear Maureen, Nick, Ashley and Family,

I am so very sorry to hear of the loss of Allen. I always liked him ever since we were classmates in grade 8 at St. Patrick's school. He was friendly, smiling, and just good. I remember all of you with fondness from my time at Greene Central and I pray that all of your positive and happy memories sustain you through this most difficult time and always.

Ashley my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. From chats at Nick's soccer games, and Ashley's Special Olympics. We always chuckled about our children having the same name. May the fond memories of your Dad always fill your heart and memory.
