Faye was born in Rumford, ME on May 14, 1936. She was the fourth child of Charles and Nellie Cotton, Sr. She was raised in Auburn and attended local schools. On April 23, 1955, she married the love of her life, Frank Tower of Auburn. Faye worked as a CNA and in local shoe shops. Faye and Frankie enjoyed camping in Bryant Pond and traveling. Together they visited Washington DC, Hawaii, Nashville and Florida.
They especially enjoyed time spent at their family camp in Township D. Friends and family still recount how they glided so gracefully on the dance floor during special occasions.
Faye is survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, parents, four sisters and one brother.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Margaret, hospice RN and the staff at Clover Manor, for their compassionate care during her illness.
Our beloved Aunt Faye had a heart of gold, a forgiving nature, and extended kindness to all she met. She loved her family deeply and we considered her our treasure. She will not be forgotten. Rest in peace our sweet Aunt Faye.
Graveside services honoring Faye’s life will be celebrated at Oak Hill Cemetery, New Auburn, ME on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11 am. There will not be any visitations.
