Ann M. Walton

ILLINOIS---Ann M. Walton, formerly of Sabattus, ME passed away on August 23, 2012 in Bolingbrook, IL. She was born in Platteville, WI on March 23, 1928, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna Howell. She married the late William J. Walton, Jr. on May 25, 1968. Ann was a nurse for 50 years and retired in 2003. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Sabattus, Daughters of the Nile, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion, and the Jacques Cartier Club. Ann is survived by her daughter Veronica Radowicz of Il, her stepdaughters Pauline Walton-Flath of CA, Doreen (Bruce) Manke of Derry N.H. and a stepson, Paul (Rosalie) Walton of FL; four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, her sister, Ethel Horner of IN, her brother Jerry Howell of WI and two sisters-in-law, Patricia McCullough of Rumford and Doris (Anthony) Albert of Lewiston as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Edna and Harry Howell, her husband, William, her brothers, Richard, Wilson, and Carl Howell, her sister Betty Maiden and her granddaughter, Denison (Walton) Smrstick. Vistiation will be held for Ann at The Fortin Group , 70 Horton St., Lewiston, on Wednesday, Aug. 29th from 9:00-10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Sabattus, ME at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Maine Veteran’s Cemetery in Augusta, ME.
