

He was born in Cookshire P.Q., Canada on April 1, 1923 the son of the late Henri and Beatrice (Lessard) Robert. Camille had been a resident of this community for most of his life.
He was educated in Cookshire, Quebec schools.
He was employed at the Bates Mill for ten years and then Knapp Shoe for twenty years.
He married the former Jeanne D. Loubier on August 2, 1947; and she died on February 15, 2011.
Camille served with the U.S. Army in the African, European and Middle Eastern Theaters of Operation with the Army Medical Corps during WWII.
He enjoyed working with tools in his garage, sharing stories of his time in the service and was very proud of serving his country, liked to talk politics and watching CNN daily. In his younger years, he enjoyed traveling to Boston, New York and Canada with his wife Jeanne. He always had a great smile and loved to make people laugh and appreciated all that helped him.
He was a member of the American Legion Post #22 of Lewiston, Chapter 11 DAV of Lewiston and a parishioner of Holy Cross Church.
He is survived by one daughter Diane Beagle and her husband Walter of Lewiston; two sons Normand Robert and his wife Coreen of Minot and Marcel Robert and his wife Tina of Greene; five grandchildren Ray of China, Scott of Greene, Cheryl of Auburn, Jennifer of South Portland and Zachariah of Lewiston; five great grandchildren; two sisters Noella of Lewiston and Jeannine of Sabattus; two brothers Richard of Lewiston and Mike of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and his parents, he was predeceased by four brothers Ivan, Reginald, Roger and Claude.

Robert- Died in Lewiston on Saturday October 17, 2015. Mr. Camille S. age 92 a resident of Lewiston. A Funeral Mass honoring Camille’s life will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church. Committal services with military honors will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway, Lewiston 784-4023.
