Clemence Q. Gervais

LEWISTON- Clemence Q. Gervais, 83, a resident of Abbot, Maine died Thursday evening June 3, 2010 at D'Youville Pavilion following a long illness. She was born in St. Martin P.Q. , Canada on April 19, 1927 the daughter of Edouard and Emerilda (Lachance) Quirion and had been a resident of this community for most of her life. She was employed in the local textile industry for many years until her retirement. Clemence enjoyed playing beano and loved her dog "Benji". She also enjoyed singing and listening to country and French music. She is survived by her husband Normand Gervais Sr. whom she married on May 22, 1943 of Abbot; two sons Normand Gervais Jr. and his wife Jane of Ledyard, Connecticut and Clement Gervais Sr. and his wife Barbara of Lewiston; nine grandchildren Clement Gervais Jr., Tina Pilot and her husband Mark, Randy Gervais, Amber Berube and her husband Thomas, Brandon Gervais, Susan Martin, Danielle Gervais, Joseph Gervais and Andrew Gervais; eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. NOTICE Gervais- Died in Lewiston Thursday June 3, 2010. Mrs. Clemence Q. age 83 a resident of Abbot. A Funeral Mass honoring Clemence's life will be celebrated on Monday 11AM at the Basilica of Sts. Peter & Paul lower church of the Prince of Peace Parish. Burial will be private at the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
