

Lewiston - Conrad E. Grenier age 77 died in Lewiston Tuesday January 14, 2014 with family by his side, He was born on October 27, 1936, the son of Adelard and Simone " Tancrel" Grenier. He graduated from Edward Little High School in 1956. On June 29, 1957 he married Florence Cloutier. Conrad worked many different jobs before he started at National Biscuit Company in 1967. He worked for Nabisco for 27 years and was known as the cookie man. He retired in 1994. After being snowbirds for several years in 2007 he and his wife moved to North Fort Myers, Florida. They joined many clubs while living in Windmill Village. Conrad had a golf cart and enjoyed driving from park to park. Every summer they returned to Lewiston to visit family and friends. He was a member of many social clubs, most notably the Le Montagnard and The Webber Avenue Club. He is survived by his loving wife, Florence. Also by four sons, Michael and wife Debra Rice, of Bangor, David and wife Rachel of Sabattus, James and wife Beverly of Oxford, and Timothy and fiance Charlotte Morton of Lewiston. A daughter, Debra Ann Reynolds, and husband Joseph from Orlando, FL. Two sisters Claire Breton and partner Roland Metayer of Lewiston. Helene Gendell and husband Michael of Auburn and brother Dennis and wife Sharon of Tennesse. Five grand-children. Stacy Rivet, Brent Grenier, Shauna Grenier, David Grenier, and Joseph Grenier. Nine great-grand -children. Mason and Ava Rivet, Mackenzie Grenier, Madison, Matt and Corbin Long, Ariel, Timothy and Nathalia Grenier. The family wishes to thank D’Youville Pavilion 4 West, Nurses and CNAs as well as Androscoggin Home Health Hospice, for the excellent care they provided Conrad during his stay. Visitation Friday from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 1:00 PM at Holy Cross Church. Committal to follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
