

He was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 11, 1955, the son of the late Laureat and Cecile (Dubois) Robitaille.
Dan married Kathryn (Lachance) on September 9, 2006 in Naples, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathryn; his brothers Gerard; George and his wife Barbara; Laurent and his partner Lynn; his twin brother David and his wife Susan; his sons, Brandon and Eric. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; his father-in-law, Roland Lachance; his sisters, Doris Mathieu and her husband Larry; Diane Robitaille; his brother, Marcel; his sister-in-law, Joan Robitaille; niece Joline Nash and nephew Gerald Mathieu.
Dan was a lifelong resident of Lewiston and a graduate of Lewiston schools. He spent most of his career working at Phillips Elmet before retiring in 2015. In retirement Dan enjoyed fishing, hunting, and doing improvement projects on his home. Dan also cherished time spent with family and friends, whether playing pool, riding his motorcycle (including a memorable trip to Sturgis with close friends), or cheering on his favorite New England sports teams.
Dan will be missed by those who knew him and loved him.
Funeral Services honoring Daniel's life will be celebrated on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 11:00 AM at The Fortin & Pinette Group in Lewiston. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4-8 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
