

LEWISTON: David W. Ouellette, 48, of Auburn, passed away unexpectedly Thursday night due to health conditions he had been battling. He was born in Lewiston on June 9, 1965 a son of Paul and Pauline (Dube) Ouellette, Sr. He grew up in the Auburn area and attended local schools there. He was a student at both Edward Little High School and Franklin Alternative. David spent several years working as a drywall specialist being both self-employed and working for others. He was a member of the New Auburn Social Club and the Central Maine Dart League. He was a very popular person who had many friends. David enjoyed cooking and did a lot of cooking for several various benefits. He was an umpire for New Auburn little league baseball and loved animals, especially fish. He was kind of a fish connoisseur. David had a big heart and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was also a big Montreal Canadiens and Miami Dolphins fan. He enjoyed watching the games with his son. David is survived by his mother, Pauline (Dube) Ouellette of Auburn, his children; Bradley Ouellette and his wife Ashley of Auburn, and Megan Ouellette of Auburn. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Bret Ouellette and Derek Pinkham. He also leaves behind a sister, Linda Pushard and her husband Tiger of Auburn, his nephews Tyler, Logan and Lucas Pushard, his former spouse Renee LaChapelle and many cousins. He was predeceased by his father Paul Ouellette, Sr. and a step-brother Paul Ouellette, Jr. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday June 1 from 2-4 and 6-8pm at Fortin\Lewiston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn on Monday June 2 at 11am. Committal prayers will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
