Mrs. Diane Denise Janas

Born on August 7, 1949, in Lewiston, Maine, Diane was the daughter of the late Joseph and Roseanna Landry. She graduated from Lewiston High School and went on to work as a hairdresser at Provencher’s Beauty Salon for several years.

Diane married the love of her life, Stanley Janas, and they went on to have two children, Tim and Kelly. Married for almost 50 years, before Stanley’s passing in 2021, Diane and Stanley enjoyed their trips to Las Vegas, Sunday drives to the beach and visits with family. In her spare time, Diane enjoyed sewing, painting ceramics and coloring. She was a very talented and creative person who took great pride in her work.

In her final years, Diane cherished the Sundays that were often spent with visits from her brother, Joseph Landry, and his wife, Irene. These gatherings were filled with laughter, conversation, and many lively card games where Diane proudly won her fair share of games.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Sabrina, Diane’s favorite caregiver at Clover, for her compassionate and dedicated care.

Diane is survived by her son, Tim Janas, and his wife, Debra; her daughter, Kelly Gerasimov, and her husband, Alexey; and her four beloved grandchildren, Nick, Andy, Claire, and Nolan. She is also survived by many much-loved nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband and parents, Diane was also predeceased by her sisters Carmen Dufour, Yolande Tardif, and Connie Croteau, as well as their spouses.

A Memorial Service will be held on August 7, 2025, at 11:00 AM at The Fortin & Pinette Group Funeral Home in Lewiston, Maine.
