Donald M. Keough

CANTON - Donald M. Keough, 81, a resident of Auburn died Sunday morning at the Victorian Villa in Canton following a period of failing health. He was born in Lewiston, July 29, 1927, the son of Merle and Mildred (Sawyer) Keough. He was a long time member of East Auburn Baptist Church and was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. Donald had been employed in the local shoe industry until his retirement. He was also a member of Amvets Post 6. His hobbies included reading, watching Westerns, going out to eat, and visiting family. His favorite hobby was riding motorcycles, and was a proud owner of a Harley Davidson motorcycle. Survivors include three sisters, Margaret Stevens and husband, Bradford of Auburn, Shirley Higgins and her husband, Richard, and Carolyn Turcotte and her husband, Michael all of Hartford. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia who died in 1996, and one brother, Arthur who died in 1982. KEOUGH died in Canton, December 14, 2008, Mr. Donald M. Keough age 81 years a resident of Auburn. Funeral services honoring Donald's life will be held FRIDAY 11:00AM from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son with Pastor Roger Cousineau presiding.
