She was born in Lewiston on July 26, 1933, the daughter of the late Noel Carrier and Marie (Sirois) Carrier.
Doris met her one love, Roderick Cormier, in Lewiston and eventually settled in his home town of Van Buren, Maine where she was a registered X-Ray technician at the local hospital. She moved back to Lewiston after Roderick passed away in 1994.
Doris was a caring mother who loved having her children with her. She had several hobbies including needlework, painting, square dancing, and card playing.
Doris is predeceased by her husband Roderick Cormier, her son Jeffrey Cormier, and her sister Dorothy (Gerard) Charest. She is survived by two daughters Diane (James) Roebuck of Woodbridge, VA, Delcia (Paul) Reece of Marietta, GA and a sister Carmen (Marcel) Charest of Lewiston. She also has two grandsons, Bryan Lyons and Matthew Lyons, a great grandson Maverick Lyons and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Saturday July 26 at The Fortin & Pinette Group, Dillingham, Lynch, Plummer & Merrill, 217 Turner Street, Auburn, ME 04210. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church, Sabattus St., Lewiston.
