Edward Paul Foster

Kennebunk - Edward Paul Foster, 70, passed away on August 13, 2009 at the RiverRidge Center in Kennebunk, Maine. He was born October 15, 1938, in Eastport, Maine, and was the son of Ruel and Cecilia (Duncan) of Howland, Maine. Paul was a graduate of Howland High School, Class of 1956 and Husson College, Bangor, Maine, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1960. After teaching for a couple of years he pursued a few different careers and retired from the United States Post Office in Portland, Maine, in 2002. He was the adventurous one of the family and loved to travel to distant places. Paul is survived by his brother James Robert and his wife Valerie of Howland, Maine; three nephews James and his wife Julie, Scott and his wife Mary-Ann, and Mike and his wife Susan, all of Howland. He is also survived by grand-nephews, Marshall and Wyatt and grand-nieces, Jessica, Kacy, Aimee, and Kati and one great grand-niece, Kaelyn. Paul is also survived by an Aunt, Sadie Duncan, and many cousins. He will be remembered fondly by many good friends and his best friend of forty-four years, Jim Kidder of Honolulu. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Doctors, Nursing Staff, and Therapists at RiverRidge Center in Kennebunk, Maine Medical Center in Portland and St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston for the excellent care he was given and to his good friend and care-giver, Roland Danico.NOTICE FOSTER- Died in Kennebunk August 13th.
