

Lewiston-Eileen W. Devereux, 94, the youngest of nine children of Mary (Connelly) Wade and Charles Wade was born in Lewiston on July 16, 1912, she was a lifelong Lewiston resident. Eileen graduated from St. Patrick's and Lewiston High School. She was employed in the office of the Androscoggin Mill after high school until she became active in her nephews insurance business, Longley Associates until her retirement. She married her high school " best friend" in June 1945 Ray passed away on October 8, 1998. Eileen and Ray enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Sabattus Lake. Eileen was predeceased by her eight siblings; Catherine Longley, Mary Wade, Elizabeth Sturtevant, William Wade, Charles Wade Jr., John Wade, Edward Wade and Margaret Mahon. She was a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Church and a member of the Rosary Sodality and an active participant in her earlier years fro their Christmas Fairs. Eileen was a devoted a caring aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Surviving her are Marguerite Longley Murphy, Constance Longley Roux, Bernard Sturtevant, Betty Sturtevant, Charles and John Wade and those who predeceased her were Francis Longley, Mary Longley, Gov. James Longley, Eileen Longley Bradbury, John Sturtevant, William Wade and Patricia Wade. Devereux-Died in Lewiston Dec. 31, 2006. Eileen Wade age 94 of Lewiston. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday 10 AM St. Patrick's Church. Interment in the family lot Mt.
