Born on November 3, 1934, she was the daughter of Ray Carll and Edith Merrill. Eleanor graduated from Edward Little High School, class of 1953.
She was employed by the shoe industry for several years before retiring and then going to work for herself painting and wall papering for several area customers. Her expertise spread by word of mouth, keeping her very busy for many more years.
Her favorite hobby was oil painting and she filled her home with several beautiful landscapes. She also enjoyed her doll houses and making realistic miniatures.
Survivors include daughter Sherry (Burrill), son Bud and his wife Jackie, son Butch, granddaughter Shonna as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by husband Norman D., grandson Jason Gagnon and son in law Richard Burrill.
A special thanks are extended to her physician Ken Brodsky, her oncologist Chiara Battelli and the staff of N.E. Cancer Specialists, the staff of Androscoggin Home Hospice, and to several local eateries who came to know and love her as “Gram” when she went out to dine. Private interment will be at Gracelawn Memorial Park, while a Celebration Of Life is being planned for spring.
