Elias Grafton Sparks, known to those who loved him as Eli, was born on May 1, 2023, and passed away peacefully in the arms of his family on August 31, 2025, at the age of 2. Though his time with us was brief, Eli’s legacy will endure through the love and strength he inspired in everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Elias was a fighter, a true SCN8A warrior, whose courage and resilience touched the hearts of countless people. Despite the challenges of his condition, he filled the lives of those around him with joy through his vibrant personality, infectious smile, and courageous spirit. His ability to radiate positivity, despite his own hardship, brought people together in ways he may never have known. For this, and for the love he shared, we are forever grateful.
Eli’s story continues through his loving parents, India Star and Jordan Sparks, and his beloved sister, Ellianna. He is also remembered by his grandparents Jessica Brooks; John and Jessica Poulin; and Amy and Scott Sparks; his aunts and uncles Lily Poulin, Madison Coleman, Heather Brooks, Samuel Sparks, Robert Hanson, and Daniel and Stephanie Poulin; and his great-grandparents Rita and Gerald Sparks, Lisa and Dickie Brooks, and Susan and John Bachelder. Elias was deeply loved by his extended family, both near and far, who will always honor his memory.
Though his life was short, Elias made an immeasurable impact on everyone who crossed his path. He showed the world what it truly means to love. His story is one of remarkable courage, and his memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him most.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Eli's honor to The Cute Syndrome Foundation, in support of those affected by SCN8A, in hopes to find a cure and to further research this rare condition.
A private family service will be held in honor of Eli's memory. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all those who supported them during this difficult time.
Eli, you will always be our hero. Your spirit will continue to inspire us, and you will never be forgotten.
