

Helen M. "Honey" Beauparlant, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 7, 2010 at Sarah Frye Home in Auburn. Helen was born in Lewiston on February 2, 1920 the daughter of Clara Dunton & John Lynch. She attended Lewiston High School, Class of 1938 and the Coburn Classical Institute graduating in 1939. Helen married the love of her life, Norman J. Beauparlant on July 17,1944; they shared 61 years of beautiful marriage prior to his death on March 4, 2006. She worked at the Lewiston Sun-Journal for 29 years and was a faithful member of St. Patrick's Church. Helen is survived by her four children- her daughter, Mary & husband John Lowell of Buckfield and her three sons, Norman & wife, Barbara of Poland; Richard & wife, Sylvia of Sabattus; Michael & wife GeorgAnn of Durango, Colorado. Helen, who was lovingly named "Grandmother", leaves behind her six grandchildren- Douglas & wife Renee Beauparlant of Wales; Lori Beauparlant LaChance of Lisbon Falls, Kevin & wife Kelly Beauparlant of Levittown, Pennsylvania; Joy & husband Derek Shine of Natick, Massachusetts, Brian & wife Jamie Beauparlant of Lewiston, and Matthew Lowell of Buckfield. As well as her ten great-grandchildren- Ashley, Jordan, Kyle, Karden, Sydney, & Callen Beauparlant and Alexa LaChance, Jake Smith and Nora & Maeve Shine. She is survived by her sister, Claire Madden of Sabattus. Helen was predeceased by her husband, Norman; her brother, John Lynch & her great-grandson Camrin Beauparlant. Helen's family would like to thank the amazing staff at Sarah Frye Home & Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice or the Lewiston Public Library.
