

LEWISTON – Herbert (Bill) A. Millett, Jr., 63, a resident of 115 Vale Street died Friday afternoon at Central Maine Medical Center with his family by his side following a long illness. He was born in Bangor, October 13. 1946, the son of Herbert A. and Mary G. (Comer) Millett, Sr. Bill was a United States Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, and prior to living in Lewiston had been a resident of Greene for over 20 years.He was most recently employed as a mechanic for 74 Auto in Turner and was previously employed with Chapman Trucking in Auburn. His hobbies included snowshoeing and had been a member of Lasles Amis Choisis, The Indians Snowshoe Club, and past president of the American Fraternal Union of Snowshoers. Survivors include two daughters, Tina Broberg and husband, Greg of Sumner, Mary Robbins and husband, Alan of Oxford; three brothers, Marty and wife Sharon of Eddington, Danny and wife Beverly of Connecticut; and Billy and wife Sharon of Brewer; two sisters, Mary (Betty) Norris and husband, Fred of Winterport, and Josephine Smith and husband, Gary of South Carolina; one granddaughter, Nicole Fleury of Livermore. Also surviving are 3 step grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Lynette and a sister, Rita. MILLETT died in Lewiston, March 5, 2010, Mr. Herbert (Bill) A. Millett, Jr., age 63 years formerly of Greene. Funeral services followed by military honors will be held TUESDAY 11:00AM at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. Burial will be held later in the Spring at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Belgrade Rd., Augusta.
