March 2011 – June 2023
On June 19th, 2023, our world changed in the blink of an eye. Although Izayah 's life was cut short, it was one filled with adventure, from his love of fishing to four wheeling and biking with friends. He also enjoyed rafting up in the West Forks with his family. He was especially fond of winter. Izayah enjoyed sledding, ice fishing, snowmobiling, and exploring the woods. It was his love for an engine that kept him going for hours. He would be out riding his snowmobile when he would not get out of bed early for anything else but a good ITS trail before breakfast. An avid reader, he enjoyed reading stories to the younger classes at his school. Izayah was often caught using a flashlight to read all through the night. He was in the process of rereading fifty-nine of the sixty Hardy Boys books with his sister Emelia. Somehow before he left, he read three in one night.
His family, friends, teachers, and classmates loved Izayah deeply and we will miss him forever. He is survived by his mother, Brigitte (Gorman) Freeman, her fiancé’ Patrick Doyon, and Emelia Doyon, whom he thought of as a sister, all of Greene ME; his father, Derrick Freeman, of South Portland and his grandparents, Steven and Justine Freeman, of Scarborough ME; David and Genice Gorman, of Gorham ME; along with aunts, uncles, cousins, and his great grandfather, Jerald Paradis, of Scarborough ME.
There will be a celebration of life on July 22nd at Range Pond State Park, 26 State Park Rd, Poland Spring, ME 04274 starting at 11:00 AM.
