James L. Dyer

James was born on January 21, 1931 in Lewiston, ME, the son of Fred Dyer, Sr. and Nora Collins Dyer. He

was educated in local schools. He married Priscilla Gosselin on October 6, 1950.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at several local shoe companies and at Country Kitchen Bakery. He

was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. In his earlier years he loved hunting and fishing, especially with his

oldest grandson, Greg.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Priscilla of Auburn and his sister, Ethel McKenzie of Hebron; by his

three children - his daughter, Jamie Pelletier and her husband, Bert, of Turner; his son, James "Larry"

Dyer, Jr. and his fiancee, Suzanne Culleton, of Greene; and his youngest daughter, Dina Landry and her

husband, David, of Barrington, NH; six grandchildren - Gregory Gilbert, Jr.; Brandon, Sean and Brittany

Dyer; Derik and Danielle Landry; one great granddaughter - Kayleigh Gilbert.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother and 5 sisters.

Dyer- Died in Lewiston on Thursday December 31, 2015. Mr. James L. Sr. age 84 a resident of Auburn. A Memorial service honoring James’ life will be celebrated on Thursday at 12:30 PM at the First Assembly of God Church 70 Hogan Road, Lewiston, ME 04240 with Reverend Donald Cougle officiating. Committal services will be held at a later date at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM prior to the service at the First Assembly of God Church.
