Jason K. Poisson

GREENE - It is with intense heartache that we announce the passing of Jason K. Poisson on August 10, 2024. Jason was a loving father and was deeply cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Jason had a great appreciation for many things in life. He was a devoted dog lover and found immense joy and companionship in his dogs Bella and Lily. He was also drawn to anything with a motor, from snowmobiles to dirt bikes—he loved fast machines that could take you off the beaten path.

He had a passion for collecting cars. Throughout his lifetime, Jason bought, traded, and sold an unimaginable number of vehicles. From muscle cars to antique trucks, he managed to beat the hell out of decades worth of iconic automobiles. He was fascinated by anything with horsepower and/or personality. Some of his favorites included a white Fox Body Mustang and a green ‘48 Chevy truck

Jason amassed nearly 25 years as a metal fabricator, where he put his skills as a craftsman to good use. He excelled at building and fixing things. He and his son were constantly immersed in new projects, tackling a wide array of challenges together. With his extensive tools, skills, and determination, he was always ready to transform any idea into reality, no matter how varied or complex.

He cherished the time he spent with his son. They would often play video games and shared an interest in music. Music was a constant presence in Jason's life. Above all, he treasured his family, each of them holding a distinct place in his heart.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on through the memories he created and the love he shared.

Jason is survived by his only son Owen Poisson, mom Debra Nye & stepfather Derrick Nye, father Donald Poisson, brother Jamie Poisson & wife Tanya, Sister Jennifer Morgans & husband Eric, and all of his beloved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He is predeceased by Donald & Noella Poulin, and Lucien & Lucienne Poisson.

The family plans to hold a private celebration of life to honor and remember all of the memories they share of Jason and the positive impact he had on their lives.
