Joline Louise Langlais

She was born the daughter of Albert and Imelda Desjardins of Lewiston, Maine on June 7, 1946. She graduated from Lewiston High School in 1964, she met the love of her life, Laurier Langlais. They married on August 6, 1966 and had a son, Norman Langlais who later married Linda Cormier and a daughter, Carrie Langlais who later married Edward MacDonald.

They built a wonderful life for themselves. She enjoyed the music Larry would play in his band The Country Sound and they took up line dancing with The Countryside Dancers. They spent every summer at their seasonal campsite at The Birches Family Campground in Litchfield, Maine.

Shortly after their 40th wedding anniversary, Larry was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and passed away in 2010. She moved down to Leland NC in 2014 and loved the warmer climate.

She made many friends at her residence at Inspire at Brunswick Forest. She loved crafting, going out to eat at Cracker Barrel in Wilmington, watching the ships pass up the Cape Fear River in Southport, she loved shopping with Carrie, she loved Disney World and made trips there as often as she could. She was able to make one more trip in 2023 with Carrie, and they made many memories together. She even got to take two cruises and had just returned from one two weeks before her passing.

Joline was full of life, fun, not afraid to get out there and do whatever she wanted to. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by two brothers, Roger Desjardins and his wife Jackie of Minot Maine and a brother Paul Desjardins, nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Joline’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Church. Committal Services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 from 4-7 PM at The Fortin & Pinette Group, 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
