

1922 - 2010
Auburn- Joseph G. Voisine 87, of Blake St. Towers, formerly of Sabattus St.
died Monday November 1, 2010 at The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care
& Hospice, with his family at his side. He was born in Van Buren on December
8, 1922, a son of the late Christopher and Rose (Viel) Voisine. He was
educated in Maine and New Hampshire schools. He proudly served his country
in the US Army during WWII and The Korean Conflict.
Joe married the former Marielle Pelletier on September 14, 1953, she
predeceased him on July 8, 1992. He worked construction for most of his
younger years and then owned and operated Nel's Variety. He continued
working into his 70's clearing trailer lots in Sabattus. He was a member of
Holy Family Church and VFW Post 1603.
Joe enjoyed watching the Red Sox and attending his grandchildren's and
great grandchildren's events.
He leaves three daughters Dorothy McAtee of Lewiston, Marieanne Bronson
of FL and Brenda Guimond and her husband Gerry of Lewiston, 7 grandchildren;
Robert McAtee III of Lincoln, Jamison McAtee and his wife Sarah of West VA,
Matthew McAtee and his wife Reney of TN, Tessa Bailer and her husband Eric
of FL, John Bronson of GA, Derek Guimond and his wife Erin of MA and Chad
Guimond of Lewiston, 8 great grandchildren; Darian, Kayla, Reese, Aiden and
Alexis McAtee, Rylee Guimond and Colin and Corey Bailer and many nieces and
nephews. He was predeceased by a brother and 3 sisters.
The family would like to send a very special thank you to the entire
staff at St. Mary's and the Hospice House for the excellent care given to
Joe. Also they would like to thank Tanya Warren for all the help she gave to
Joe.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Prince of Peace Parish at
Holy Family Church Friday 11:00 Am. Committal will be Friday 1 PM at Maine
Veterans Memorial Cemetery Civic Center Dr. Augusta. In Joseph's memory
donations may be made to The Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care &
Hospice 236 Stetson Rd. Auburn, ME 04210.
