Julien R. Moreau

Portland-Julien R. Moreau, age 81, of Dumont Avenue, Lewiston passed away peacefully December 27, 2010 at Maine Medical Center surrounded by his wife and children following a short illness. Born on October 15, 1929 the son of Dominique and Antoinette (Guenette) Moreau. He graduated from St. Dominic High School Class of 1948, He then served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. On October 11, 1952 he married the former Venise Jean, his high school sweetheart. Julien loved his family, life and his work. Since the age of fourteen, he worked in the family business Dom J. Moreau Electric as a dedicated community electrician. He was always willing to help others in need. Julien and Venise had the pleasure of traveling extensively during their time together. He was a member of Holy Cross Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He served on the Parish Council and donated many hours of his time to the parish. Julien was still actively working as an electrician He is survived by his wife of 58 years Venice Moreau of Lewiston, two daughters; Monique Priebe of Owls Head, ME and Lise Tavackoli of Antalya, Turkey, two sons; Claude Moreau of Vernon, CT and Louis Moreau of Portland, OR, six grandchildren, a sister; Marguerite Baribault of Bellevue, WA, a brother; Reynald and his wife Joyce of Lewiston a sister in law Madeleine Moreau of Lewiston and two brothers in law; Henri and Roland Jean and several nieces and nephews.Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers; Bertrand and Louis Moreau.Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at www.lynchbrothers.com Moreau-Died in Portland Dec. 27, 2010.
